Why Stories

Across all cultures, nations, languages, and customs, humanity has this in common: we learn to see the world through the lens of the stories that we’ve heard and believed. Stories have the power to encourage, restore, and inspire, and that is exactly what we hope to accomplish here. Foothills Christian Church is a community of stories because it is a community of shared lives. Each story is as unique as the person who lived it, yet there is a commonality to each one as we live and grow together on our faith journey. We want you to be inspired through hearing the testimonies of people who have seen God’s provision through challenging times, who have seen victory in circumstances similar to yours. That’s our story, but there are two other stories we’re interested in:

The Bible tells us that the body of Christ is made up of many parts, and you are an important part of it when you choose to enter into a church community. At Foothills you will find real people who listen and want to come alongside you. Your story is important, and it can give someone else help in their time of need. Your story has power.

All of these stories are just a small fragment of the largest and most important story of all – God’s. It’s a historically proven, personally experienced, life-changing tale of love, redemption, and glory. A Father who loves us so much that He sent His Son to restore a broken relationship with us. He knows your story and He cares about you. He has magnificent plans and purposes for all who would come to Him.
